Today's my birthday.
And as per request of my friend savagethumper I decided to continue my light novel by at least one more part.
So here it is.
The fourth part.

The night was young. The night that was destined to change my life forever.
It was weekend so Shade and I decided to go outside and have some fun.

"Hey. Do you remember the other day when I told you about Club Hedgehog?"

"That Sonic the Hedgehog fanboy club? What about it?"

"This night they have a meeting so I wondered if you'd like to come with me?"

"I guess I have nothing better to do with my time."

"Thanks,man! Alright,we need to get to the abandoned factory I mentioned."

"Let's hurry,then."

During the long trek to the factory, Shade kept pestering me why the Club Hedgehog is so great but I ignored him and started listening to some random music on my mp4. When we finally got to it and entered it I was shocked to see that there were a lot of people around seemingly having fun.

"Hah. So that's where all the Sonic fans are located. There are actually a lot more of them than I imagined."

"That's nothing. This group is only from this city."

"You must be kidding me... This many and they only come from around this city? There must be something wrong..."

"Oh,don't be such a party-pooper. Just relax and have fun."

"Alright..."

I approached a girl and tried to talk to her.

"Hey,how's it go-"

"Sonic is the best thing ever! Sonamy 4ever!"

"Umm...sure. I'll be going now,okay? Don't follow me."

I tried to talk to several other people but they all just said practically the same thing over and over.

"What is this,Final Fantasy NPC's? They never say anything useful."

Shade approached me with a puzzled look on his face.

"Hey,man. Did you notice anything unusual with them?"

"You mean repeating the same thing constantly? Yeah,I did. What's wrong with them?"

"I don't know. They were never like this before. They must be hypnotized or something."

"But by whom?"

"Maybe it was... No,it cannot be."

"What? Who?"

"Their leader who calls himself Master Rafael."

"Master Rafael? What kind of a stupid name is that?"

"Hush. You don't want to mess with him."

"Why's that? Is he that dangerous?"

At the same moment,everything in the factory stopped and everyone kneeled and started to chant the same thing.

"Here comes the Master. All hail the Master. Everyone who opposes the Master will be terminated."

"What the fu-"

"Quiet. Or He'll hear you."

"Where is he?"

"Over there!"

Shade pointed at the kid that was roughly 6-7 years younger than me.

"You must be kidding me. That's Master Rafael?"

"Yes. But you mustn't take him lightly."

"Why's that?"

"Just watch."

Master Rafael climbed on a pedestal and started to talk.

"My comrades. Tonight we have gathered so I could tell a marvelous news to you. With our forces which expand throughout the entire planet we are going to take over the world!"

"Of course! Sorry,I just had to say that."

"Well,now you've ruined it. He heard us."

He turned his attention to Shade and me.

"What? Who are you? How dare you oppose me?"

"My name is Bat and this is Shade. We're going to end this shanenigans of yours,kid."

"How dare you call me kid? Comrades,attack!"

"They never listen,do they? Leave this to me,Shade."

A battle ensued. Everyone started to attack me,but I avoided all of the attacks and knocked out everyone that went against me. It took a while,though.

"How is this possible? You have beaten everyone that I send after you."

"Hah. They were very easy to beat. Now's your turn."

I rushed towards him but a mystical force stopped my movements.

"What...What's happening?"

"I merely stopped you from doing anything to me. Now accept me as your Master and I might have mercy on you."

"Never!"

"If that's what you want..."

I felt a massive pain racing through my entire body. He was trying to take control of me and I couldn't do anything to stop it. Then the pain stopped and I felt different...darker. My pupils turned entirely black and there was a dark aura surrounding me. Shade tried to get to me,but...

"Bat...? What's wrong with you?"

"I devote my life to the darkness. I devote my life to Master..."

"He's no longer him anymore. I killed the light Bat and reincarnated him as evil Bat, that's why he says "I devote my life to the darkness".Those are his only memories."

"Yes,Master...May I now destroy him?"

"You may."

Against my will I attacked Shade. During the fight I felt extreme power surging through me that was used against Shade. Shade tried his best to revert me but to no avail. Eventually I struck him down.

"Now,you die!"

"Bat,no! Don't do it! Remember the time we met, when we had fun together!"

During that time I remembered everything and broke free of the Rafael's control. Fire started to surround me and fill me with a new power.

"W-what's this? How did he manage to regain himself? That's imp-"

"Let's do this,Shade. You and me,till the end."

We attacked him together,alternating between our attacks. In the end I let Shade take the finishing blow. We've beaten him and he ran away in fear.

"Booya. We did it."

"Yeah,thanks a lot,buddy."

"Aw,it's okay. Look,they're waking up,too."

"Let's leave. It's starting to get late."

"Alright."

From far away,a shady figure watched our whole fight.

"I knew it was him. And he's starting to awaken his power. This will be interesting..."

Shade and I went home and halfway there we split our ways. We said goodbye to each other and I rushed home and went straight to my room. There was no one in the house because my sister departed to live with her husband but she was still close to my home. I fell into sleep from exhaustion and forgot to set the alarm.
